Celebrate June with Cookies, Cups & Mini Treats (Perfect for Showers, Graduations and Summer Parties!)

Hello there, Reader!

In last week’s newsletter, I shared Potluck-Perfect Italian Sides for BBQ Season! If you missed it, you can catch up HERE.

As we step into June, it feels like celebration season is officially here.

From graduations and end-of-school parties to bridal showers and garden get-togethers, this month is full of reasons to gather, share, and indulge just a little.

This week, I'm highlighting a few of my favorite Italian-inspired cookies and mini desserts — perfect for sharing, gifting, or plating up on a beautiful dessert table. These treats are make-ahead friendly, travel well, and offer a sweet ending to any special occasion.

For Bridal Showers & Elegant Tables:

Cherry biscotti in a cookie tin. Ricotta cookies on a white platter.
Lemon cookies on a platter. Amaretti cookies on a silver tray.

Cherry Biscotti: Pretty and perfect for coffee or tea.
Lemon Ricotta Cookies: I love these cookies with the pink glaze!
Italian Lemon Knot Cookies: Soft, citrusy, and perfect for any summer celebration.
Soft Amaretti Cookies: Chewy, almond-scented, and naturally gluten-free.

For Graduation Celebrations & Casual Parties:

Crescent cookies on a platter. A stack of oatmeal cookies.
Sesame cookies on a plate. Italian cookies on a plate.

Chocolate Hazelnut Crescent Cookies: Rich and filled with a delightful surprise.
Old-Fashioned Oatmeal Cookies: A chewy, classic cookie that everyone loves.
Italian Sesame Cookies: Lightly sweet, with a delicate crunch and nutty flavor.
Italian Hazelnut Almond Meringues: Light as air, naturally gluten-free, and great on a cookie tray.

Mini Desserts (in Cups, Molds & More)

Perfect for bridal showers, dessert buffets, or individual servings — these sweet treats are just the right size.

I’ve often served these mini desserts in small glass cups, mason jars, or decorative plastic dessert cups — and they always look so elegant on a celebration table.

Layered, colorful, and perfectly portioned, they make the sweetest impression without being fussy.

Whether you're setting up a dessert buffet or packing treats to-go, these minis are as beautiful as they are delicious.

Summer Berry Ricotta Parfait: Elegant and fresh with a hint of citrus.
Classic Fruit Parfait: Layered with yogurt and fruit, simple and refreshing.
Dark Chocolate Pudding: Rich, creamy, and so satisfying in mini cups.
Mini Chocolate Cupcakes: Made from my snacking cake recipe and topped with ganache for an easy, decadent treat.

READER REVIEW OF THE WEEK!

Beautiful and delicious! The colors are vibrant and adding 1/2 the dressing to the warm potatoes enhances the flavors so much! Also, the addition of the fresh parsley and lemon juice adds a nice freshness.

Thank you for reading. As always, happy baking and cooking!

Have a great week!

Ciao for now,

Maria
